Harcourt provides Lifestyle and Financial Planning for both private and corporate clients. Our process focuses on thoroughly researching your financial long-term goals and objectives, and then delivering unbiased tailor-made solutions, rather than selling you products.
Our clients’ needs are always paramount to the decision-making process.
Based in the heart of England, we provide impartial, unbiased, and objective financial advice to both local, regional, and UK wide clients, with a view to protecting and enhancing their wealth and sense of well-being.
The steps to future confidence

At the outset, we meet prospective clients in person for an Initial Meeting, which is part of our Discovery Process and hosted at no cost to you. This meeting is designed to explore and understand your ideal lifestyle, goals, and current financial situation. It is not a sales pitch but an opportunity to focus entirely on understanding your unique circumstances and aspirations.
Following the Initial Meeting, if we believe our expertise aligns with your needs, we will invite you to the next stage of the Discovery Process, the Financial Planning Meeting. Should we determine that another professional may be better suited to help you achieve your goals, we will gladly provide a referral to someone who we feel would be a better match for your requirements.

Implementation is where we work together to bridge the gap between concept and action.
Without implementation, a plan is just a wish. Many of our clients do not have the time to implement their plans, so we do it for you.
We do a lot of the ‘heavy lifting’ on your behalf, coordinating with other professionals where necessary, to put your plan into action.
Following the Financial Planning meeting, you will receive a comprehensive financial plan that’s designed to keep you on course to achieving your desired lifestyle.
Financial planning is a dynamic process: it’s not something you do once and then forget about. As any seasoned sea farer will tell you, staying on course requires constant guidance otherwise you find yourself drifting of course. Our regular financial planning meetings will provide you with individual advice and coaching to make sure you stay on the right track to achieving and maintaining your desired lifestyle.


Through regular review meetings, we adapt your strategy to reflect changes in the market and your personal circumstances, ensuring your investments remain aligned with your goals.

Pepper
The Boss
Pepper is the most adorable Cockapoo ruling the roost in the office. Pepper is often here to welcome clients into the office and for those that allow, she will keep you company or at least keep your seat warm.
Away from work, Pepper enjoys long walks and is always up for sampling new foods.

Damian Mitchell
Director/Adviser
Damian founded Harcourt Financial Ltd in 2017. Having spent over 25 years advising clients and helping them with their financial affairs, Damian has become more than just a Financial Adviser to many of his clients. Damian’s relaxed style of advising his clients, making them feel comfortable and in good hands is testament to the business that he has built.
Away from work, Damian can often be found whizzing around race tracks in the UK and Europe on his numerous motor cycles. Damian has a real love of the outdoors and likes to get away with his family as often as possible exploring. Damian is also a keen musician playing the guitar in a local band (ear defenders needed!)

Steve Sharp
Director/Adviser
Managing Director – Having known Damian for over 25 years, from their early days at Prudential, Steve joined Harcourt to help Damian grow the business. Having been in Financial Services for over 25 years, Steve brings a wealth of experience, allowing him to help clients with their financial plans. Steve’s laid back approach and ability to make the complicated seem relatively simple and understandable helps clients to feel more informed and better able to make the right decisions.
Away from work, Steve loves spending time with his young family, introducing them to different countries and experiences. You will regularly find Steve on a tennis court representing and Captaining the Leicester Forest East Mens 1st team as well as the Leicestershire Over 50’s County side. If time allows Steve also likes to spend time on the slopes with the family and out on the golf course.

Lisa Spencer
Client Administrator
Lisa is responsible for the day to day client administration, making sure that plans are set up correctly, income is received on time and any updates to client files are done in a timely fashion. You will also find Lisa answering the phone if you call the office and if she doesn’t know the answer to your query she will know who can.
Away from work, Lisa loves long walks with her dog, Stan and spending time with her young family.

Wendy Wylatt
Business Administrator
Wendy looks after the Business Administration, ensuring that all of the payments made to and from Harcourt are done smoothly and efficiently. Wendy will also be one of the familiar voices on the end of the phone if you contact the office and will always do her best to answer any questions that you have or pass you on to one of the team.
Away from work, Wendy is an avid reader, loving nothing better than a good book and a nice cup of tea and spending time with her family.

Vicky Amos
Trainee Financial Adviser
Vicky is the newest member of the team joining the Harcourt family in 2022. Vicky has a wealth of knowledge and will also be working on day to day client administration as well as working towards becoming a Financial Adviser, having recently achieved a Diploma in Financial Planning to go along side her Level 4 Association of Accounting Technicians (ATT) qualifications.
Away from work, Vicky can be found on the family farm helping to look after the livestock or playing for Oadby Tennis Clubs Ladies 1st team
